It is with earthly sorrow but Heavenly joy that we announce the everlasting life of Helen Faye White Williams. Helen went Home to the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2024, surrounded by love at Falkville Health and Rehab in Morgan County. Helen was born on December 1, 1926 to Clyde Kent and Cora Belle Easterwood White. One of three children, Helen grew up surrounded by extended family and friends in a Christ-following home in the Central community of Cullman County. She met her life-long love, Lester Henry Williams, at a church service in her young teens. They married after Lester’s return home from serving in the Pacific region during World War !!. For a short time, they moved to the Florida Keys, but it was not long before they were back in Cullman County with their family, living in South Vinemont for over 70 years. Together, Helen and Lester raised four boys. Helen loved sewing and owned and operated Riverside Draperies for many years, decorating lavish properties throughout North Alabama with her flawlessly made draperies and curtains. In her later years, she loved art and craft hobbies, such as Swedish weaving. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church for over 50 years and faithfully glorified God with her beautiful singing voice.
She is predeceased in death by her loving best friend and husband of 69 years, Lester; her parents, Clyde and Cora Belle White; her sister, Bobbie Jean Goodwin; and her brother, Clyde White, Jr.
She is survived by her four boys, Gary (Becky) Williams, Thomas (Sharon) Williams, Jeff (Tonya) Williams, Kent (Karla) Williams; and seven grandchildren, Heather (David) Miller; Angie (Shannon) Cheatwood, Summer (Ryan) Rust, Vanessa Williams, Monica (Nick) Swann, Nick (Courtney) Williams, and Kade Williams. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Patty White.
