Mrs. Helen Eads Couch, 96, of Florence, died Tuesday June 17, 2014, at ECM Hospital following a brief illness. Visitation will begin at 12 noon Friday at Atlas Church of Christ with the service at 1pm. Officiating will be Miles Stutts and Thomas Wallace. Burial will follow at Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Couch was born in Lauderdale County on January 4, 1918, to the late Jimmy and Lucy Stutts. She was a member of the Stutts Road Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jesse Couch; son, Eulis Couch; sisters, Evelyn Pitts and Esther Richardson; brother, Louie Stutts. She is survived by her sons, Doyce Couch and Leonard Couch; brother, Horace Stutts; grandchildren, Bridgett Meek (Keith), and Phyllis Davis; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Houston and Holden Meek.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Hollis and nursing staff of ECM Hospital for their care of Mrs. Couch during her illness.
