Mrs. Helen Cole Moran, 91, a native of Sandy Hook, Tennessee and a resident of Lauderdale County, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 after an extended illness. Helen was known as “the purple lady” by all who knew her well. She loved all things purple except houses and cars. In her early eighties she still delivered meals on wheels to the “old people.” She was a fine seamstress and great cook. With Helen, you never had to guess what she was thinking. She said whatever she thought. She was dedicated to her Lord throughout her life. Helen was a member of Magnolia Church of Christ and Chisholm Hills Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Joe Van Dyke and Jack Flowers. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moran was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Clyde and Lottie Mae Bassham Cole; and a sister, Laura.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Flowers (Jack), Teresa Moran (Jim Taylor); grandchildren, Jackie Flowers (Melissa), Jon Flowers (Laura), Martie Behel (Casey), Jason Flowers (Tracy), Brian Flowers; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.

Thanks to Dr. William Hobbs and staff for years of care and support; to her church family at Magnolia Church of Christ, and more recently Chisholm Hills Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to either congregation.
