It is with deep love and respect that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Helen Bingham Creasy who passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the age of 90 surrounded by her family.
Born January 12, 1935, in the Ebenezer Community to the late John Gid and Bessie Woody Bingham. She was the youngest, and last survivor of 16 siblings. She married Charles Brice Creasy on October 2, 1954, in Corinth, MS who preceded her death. They had one child, Donna Creasy Hudgins (Joseph “Joey” Sr.) Granddaughter Desiree (Dylan), Grandson Joseph “Joe” Jr., and Great-Granddaughter Penelope.
She worked for 45 years in the garment industry and retired from H.I.S. in Saltillo, TN, in 1998 when the factory closed. She was a member of the Sardis Methodist/Community Church for over 50 years.
She lived a long and fulfilling life marked by love, kindness, and an unwavering work ethic. She will be missed tremendously by her family.
Services will be on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Sardis Community Church (previously the Methodist Church). Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2 PM with the funeral beginning at 2 PM. The burial will take place following the funeral at the Sardis Cemetery. There will be a meal for the family following the burial at the Sardis Community Church Fellowship Hall.
