Helen Austin Bevis, age 80, of Florence, Ala., passed away July 6, 2013, peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Wayne Wood will be officiating. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton (Bud) and Cornelia Daniel Austin; first husband, Ray Bevis; second husband, A. Ray Bevis; sisters, Margaret Austin Balentine, and twin sister, Vernon Austin Parrish Hanback; niece, Shirley Parrish Woods; nephews, Frank, Charlie and David Winters, Donnie Smith and Charles Balentine; son-in-law, Randy Bratcher; and cousins.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Bevis Beard and husband, Allen (Buck); sons, Steven Bevis and wife, Lesia, and Johnny Bevis and wife, Lynn; grandchildren, Kyle Bevis, Ashley Bevis Czerwonka and husband, Cameron, and Patrick Bevis and wife, Becky, great-grandchildren, Asa and Edy Czerwonka, and McKenize and Alan Bevis, sister, Ruby Winters, several nieces and nephews, and several friends, and her Faithful friend Bear.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Bevis, Sammy Balentine, Johnny Balentine, Tony Couch, Ronald Liles and Danny Beard.
