Helen Alexander Mathews, 87, of Boaz, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Golden Living Health and Rehab.
She was survived by her son & daughter-in-law Chris Harold & Valerie Alexander; daughter & son-in-law Cathy & Randall Morton; grandchildren Heath Morton, Ryan Morton, Kelly Jolley, Mathew Alexander, and Lenze Alexander; stepchildren Howell Mathews, Beth & Myron Myers; brother Lavurl & Mary Ann Watts; 8 great-grandchildren.
She joined her husbands Winford Alexander and Gaines Alexander; parents Rev. and Mrs. S.B. Watts in death.
Pallbearers will be Heath Morton, Ryan Morton, Lane Watts, Myron Myers, Randall Morton, and Ronald Nabors.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ethan Jolley, Aaron Jolley, Elijah Morton , and Lyle Watts.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Union FCM Church (Double Bridges), with Bro. Mat Alexander, Bro. Keith Dodd, and Bro. Doyle Putnam officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church from 3:00 until the time of service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:30 at the funeral home.
