Head-On-Collision Takes Lives Of Two People Near Hamilton

HAMILTON-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Hamilton that has tken the lives of two people and sent a sixteen-year-old to hospital:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 29, has claimed the life of a Laneville, Texas woman.

Shelly I. Coleman, 69, was critically injured when the 2014 GMC Yukon she was driving collided head-on with the 2016 BMW X4 driven by Eboni L. Johnson, 50, of Atlanta, Georgia Coleman was transported to University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital for medical treatment.

On Saturday, November 30, Coleman succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash and was pronounced deceased. A 16-year-old juvenile, who was a passenger in the BMW, was also injured and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 10 mile marker, approximately one mile west of Hamilton, in Marion County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
