Hazelene Hacker Fierro, age 88, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, at her residence.
Mrs. Hazelene enjoyed attending church at Grace Covenant Church. She was very patient, kind, hard worker, sweet natured woman. Her children call her their hero, because of the many years of being a single parent, and working hard to take care of her family. She loved her flowers, being able to travel, both listening and singing to music, playing her guitar; and making music with her family. Despite being a large family, they all remained close and got together when they could. She loved to camp, fish, and hunt for bargains at the local yard sales with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert “Gil” Fierro; granddaughter, Kimberly Palmer; parents, Eugene & Florence (Hurley) Hacker; sisters, Dora Pounders, Lorene King, Eva Wellig, Meathel Franks, Louise Bohannon; and brothers, Cleveland Hacker, Verlon Hacker, Gayleard Hacker, and Berlene Hacker.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Bill Davis (Donna), Sheila Diane Davis Townsend, Hazel Denise Davis, Patricia Partain, Mark Cheney; grandchildren, Derrick, Jacob, Joseph, Willy, Wayne, Michael, Eric Matthew, Dawn, Meranda, Daniel, Elmer, Gaylon, Tim, Richard, Brielle; siblings, Lynnis Reams, Doris Okerbloom (Ed), Jewell Powell, Juanita Bugge (Mike); and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery.
