Hazel was born on September 22, 1922 in Starkville, Mississippi. She lived most of her life in Barry, Texas with her late husband Roy, who was a farmer. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her family and having her grandchildren come visit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luke Donner Wofford and Leulla Carroll Wofford; eight siblings – sisters Myrtle Kyle, Alfie Ellis and Maude Bell, and brothers Robert Wofford, Thomas Noah Wofford, Guy Wofford, Avory Wofford and Jimmy Wofford; her husband (Roy); and daughter Anna (Jerry) Woods Barron. She is survived by grandchildren Jana (Chris) Fuss of Brandon, MS; Jennifer Barron of Starkville, and Jason Barron of Medina, TN; and five great grandchildren.
