Hazel Joyce StephensHazel Joyce Stephens, 94, of Lincoln County, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Lincoln Manor in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Stephens lived in Lincoln County all her life. She ran a daycare out of her home for many years and spent her free time enjoying her flowers, sitting on the front porch, and playing bingo with her friends at Lincoln Manor in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Frank Roden, Jr., her parents, Horace Hicks and Alma Puckett Hicks, one daughter, Shirley Roden, one brother, Marion Hicks, one sister, Charlene Smith, as well as one son-in-law, Randy Cowan.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty (Joe) Lawrence of Fayetteville, TN, one sister, Ann Parham of Huntsville, AL, one sister-in-law, Anna Jean Hicks of Ardmore, AL, two grandchildren, Tina (Michael) Hudson of Fayetteville, TN and Stacy (Dave) Loftin of Vestavia, AL, five great grandchildren, Trevor (Leah) Hudson of Chattanooga, TN, Tanner Hudson of Fayetteville, TN, Abigail Loftin, Will Loftin, and Ella Loftin of Vestavia, AL, two great great grandchildren, Esther and Gideon Hudson of Chattanooga, TN, as well as her nieces and nephews.

There will be a Visitation held for Mrs. Stephens at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled immediately after visitation to begin at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Pastor Trevor Hudson and Pastor Kenny McNatt will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Hands of Mercy Outreach Center of Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
