Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Jones, age 97 will be on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday January 17, 2023 until service time at 1PM. Interment in Salem Cemetery near Gadsden, TN.
Mrs. Jones a longtime resident of Humboldt, TN, was born on May 22, 1925 in Flatwoods, TN and passed away on January 15,2023 at Bailey Park Community Center in Humboldt, TN.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by: her husband of 61 years Johnny W. Jones; her parents Walter Raleigh and Leona (Bridges) Garner; a sister Connie McNabb; and two brothers Walter Black Garner and Gerald Garner.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the Humboldt Church of Christ since 1953 and retired from Wayne Knitting Mills in 1987.
Mrs. Jones is survived by: two sons Larry and wife Gale Jones of Huntsville, AL and Monte and wife Carla Jones of Jackson, TN; a brother Lloyd Garner of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren Amos and wife Valerie Jones of Brentwood, TN, Ivan and wife Hellen Jones of Columbia, TN, Lacey and Husband Shawn Butler of Darien, GA, Caley and husband Trey Lonon of Jackson, TN and Josey Jones of Jackson, TN; and nine great grandchildren.
