I, Hazel Berniece Ford of Breckenridge, Kentucky, left this earthly world on January 12, 2022. This is my letter of love and forgiveness to my children. Ricky (Donna)Ford, Keith (Linda) Ford, and my daughter, Amy (Bryan) Potts, five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
I loved the only way I knew how to. Now your father, Bud Ford, and I are now both gone. I’m sorry you all grew up in a hard life, but I loved you all so much in different ways. I only hope you learned from our own mistakes raising you. Please remember, we were not and will not be the only family with problems. No family is perfect.
Your father and I were not well-educated people, but you couldn’t tell from our three wonderful children.
I asked your sister one day; how did your dad and I end up with such wonderful, gifted children? she replied, “Everything your souls were afraid to do lives through us. This is why we are so independent, hardworking, and loyal.”
I have gone home, love you, my children, please forgive and remember me. I will see you again one day?
Love always, Mom
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” -John 11:25-26
