Hayden Ortez Roberson – Obituary

Hayden Ortez Roberson, 87, of Denison, Texas, passed away Friday, Aug. 30. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Roberson Tomlin. Hayden took after his grandfather’s passion and became a horse trader taking a keen interest in horses, mules, donkeys and cattle. He always had his favorites and took special pride in his little Chihuahua, Pauncho. Working at jobs as a taxi and truck driver, he also owned a barber and pawn shop. Before being honorably discharged by the U.S. Marines, he was awarded the National Defense Service Ribbon-Rifle Marksman Badge. Hayden was a good friend and loving cousin and will be greatly missed. His body will be cremated for burial and brought back to his hometown of Lexington, Ala.. Graveside service arrangements at Barnett Cemetery will be announced later.
