Hattie Frances Kilpatrick Limbaugh, aged 93, peacefully passed away at her residence in Athens on Friday, March 14th, 2025. Born on July 24th, 1931, in Limestone County, she was the daughter of Jim and Lucy Underwood Bailey.
Mrs. Limbaugh leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Kilpatrick Mullins (Danny), Candy Dean, and Penny Vincent (Ken). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: April Graviet (Randy), Adam Mullins (Whitney), Danielle Alexander (Stephen), Ashley Smith (Brandon), Logan Dean (Hayden Sutton), Blakely Vincent, and Bailey Owens (Kyle). Her great-grandchildren, Grayson Owens, Laia Grace Owens, Audrey Fox (Cody), Parker Graviet, Ethan Mullins, Ansley Graviet, and Ashlyn Mullins, along with great-great-grandchildren Lakelynn Fox and Lane Fox, will carry her spirit forward. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Limbaugh was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Tom Kilpatrick and Joe Limbaugh, her son James Herman Kilpatrick, grandson Thomas Logan Dean, son-in-law Marc Dean, and her brothers Tootie, James, Leo, Uncle Tom, Bubba, and Mutt Bailey.
Funeral services will be held to honor Mrs. Limbaugh on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Eddie Littrell officiating. Visitation will take place on the same day from 10:00 to 10:50 am. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers will include Parker Graviet, Ethan Mullins, Blakely Vincent, Stephen Alexander, Brandon Smith, Hayden Sutton, and Kyle Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Mullins, Ken Vincent, Grayson Owens, Danny Mullins, Randy Graviet, and Cody Fox.
Mrs. Limbaugh was a remarkable woman remembered for her deep love of her poodle Bella, as well as red birds and chocolate. Her family was the center of her universe, and she held each member close to her heart. Above all, she was devoted to the Lord and was a member of Sardis Springs Church of Christ. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
