Hattie B. Fearn

Mother Hattie Fearn Hattie B. Fearn was born September 1, 1946, in Madison County, Alabama to Herbert and Rosie Studdard Eason. She transitioned from this life to her eternal home January 2, 2024, at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Herbert, Jr., Juanita, Mildred, Sarah, and Theodore.

Mother Fearn accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age. She started her Christian walk at St. James Primitive Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Elder W.A. Donaldson. She later united with the Morris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, where Elder Derrick Langford is the pastor. At Morris Chapel Mother Fearn served in many capacities, but most importantly shared her creativity for interior design. She took pride in decorating the church and some of her creations can still be admired today. She also served in the Ushers Ministry.

Mother Fearn united in holy matrimony to Theodore Fearn. The Fearns started a family, where once again Mother Fearn used her creativity to make their house a home. She had a passion for sewing and used her gift making curtains, clothing, even creating her own designs. Their life was full of love, and they shared over 60 years together until her passing.

She is survived by her husband, Deacon Theodore Fearn; daughters, Anna Murphy, Sarah Moland , and Lisa (Roy) Rogers; son, Christopher Fearn;       grandchildren, Sharon Murphy, Vernon Moland, Jr., Olivia Moland, Kalisa Rogers, Terrel Rogers, Terence Rogers, Megam Fearn, and Kevin Fearn; three great-grandchildren, sister, Mattie Ford; play children, Edwina Turner, Mary Randall, Dartrisha Willard, and Catfish Moore; nieces, nephews, her Morris Chapel Church family and dear friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Morris Chapel Primitive Baptist Church (2135 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Elder Herbert Cartwright officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mother Fearn will lie in repose one hour to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Royal Funeral Home.
