Louis Creekmore passed away in the early morning hours of June 25, 2017. He celebrated his 85th birthday on June 24, 2017.
Harvil was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Lula Jane Elkins Creekmore; father-in-law, Luther Grady Causey, and mother-in-law, Alice Beatrice Causey; brothers, Jesse Creekmore and Horace Creekmore and wife, Marie; and sister-in-law, Virginia Doris Causey Creekmore.
Harvil is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Causey Creekmore; sister, Dorothy Kennedy; brother, Edward Creekmore; sister, Myra Creekmore Hambrick; brother-in-law, Glenn Creekmore; son, Gary Paul Creekmore and wife, Beth; son, Eric Wade Creekmore and wife, Stephanie; grandsons, Jordan Creekmore and wife, Allyssa, Alex Creekmore, Dylan Creekmore, Cody Gallaher and wife, Coti, and Amberly Bromley; great-grandchildren, Wade Gallaher, Waylon Gallaher, Wheeler Gallaher, and Savannah Bromley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harvil retired from General Motors, Detroit, Michigan, with 30 years of service. He worked for six years with R&R Casket Company before opening Ann’s Market on Highway 101 with his wife Ann. He completed his work career by working for the Lauderdale County school system at Allen Thornton Career Technical Center and Brooks High School as a custodian. Harvil was a dedicated Christian joining the Baptist church in 1954. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge No. 613 in Lexington, Alabama.
Pallbearers are Jordan Creekmore, Alex Creekmore, Dylan Creekmore, Cody Gallaher, Josh Creekmore, and Caleb Creekmore.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Creekmore will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Jeff Cruz officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Fairview United Methodist Cemetery in Fairview, Alabama. Visitation with the family will be held today at Loretto Memorial Chapel from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
