Harvey Wayne Goodin, 73, of Athens, passed away Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Goodin was born on September 4th, 1949, to James and Athalee (Powers) Goodin.
Mr. Goodin is survived by his loving companion Dorothy Ford; sisters Margaret Barnett and Irene Tarpley; son-in-law Mac Teston; and grandchildren Seth Teston, Michaela Teston, Jared Teston, and Jayla Teston.
Mr. Goodin is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Athalee Goodin; daughter Donna Goodin Teston; and siblings Peggy Favors, Sandra Pullum, and Tony Goodin.
Funeral service for Mr. Goodin will be Saturday, July 8th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Kendall Penton and Cleborne Pullum officiating. The visitation will be 12:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Baugher, Clint Baugher, Mac Baugher, Seth Teston, Jared Teston, and Mac Teston. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Goodin retired from Steelcase and also was a farmer. He loved to work on cars and go fishing.
