Harry Russell Meadows 86 of Muscle Shoals, passed away July 18, 2012
Visitation will be Friday July 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services to begin 10:00 A.M. Saturday July 21 in the chapel, with burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Reverend Jim Meadows and Reverend Greg Willis officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dudley and Mossie Lee Bradford Meadows,
brother, Dudley Meadows and two sisters, Dovie Brown and Emma Lee Glaiser.
Survivors include wife, Geraline Kimbrough Meadows,
Son, Danny Russell Meadows and wife Debbie
Daughter, Rena Meadows Bannister and husband Buck
Brothers, J.B. Meadows and wife Carolyn, Lynn “Aldon” Meadows and wife Alice, Jim Meadows and wife Linda
Grandchildren, Michael Johnson and wife Tina, Jennifer Hennessy and husband Michael, Holly Fama and husband Mike, Tyler Meadows and Morgan Meadows
Great-grandchildren, Austin, Drew, Klaire, Kallie, Madison, Ella, Mollie and Alena.
Many nieces and nephews
Pallbearers are David Brown, Brandon Brown, Ken Askew, Ryan McCaig, David Devaney and John Kimbrough. Honorary pallbearers are Weldon Bernie, Wilmer Maddox, Tommy Thompson, Charles Gargis, Martin McKay and W.R. Jumper
Mr. Meadows was a long time member of First Southern Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals. He loved his extended family as well as his friends and his dog “Saint”. He was a very friendly person and loved making friends.
A veteran of WWII, serving his country in the United States Navy during the Pacific Theater.
