Funeral service for Harry N. Jones, Jr. , 81, will be Monday, June 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Decker officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones died on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Thursday, September 10, 1942, in Illinois, to Harry Nathen Jones, Sr. and Evelyn E. Wood.
He was employed by Champion Papers as an Accountant, prior to his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Jones served at his church, in whatever capacities he could, after his retirement. He loved to cook, loved Alabama Football, and enjoyed history and trivia.
Preceding him in death were his parents – Harry Nathen Sr., and Evelyn Wood Free, and his step-father- William Free and a brother- Dwight Free.
