Harry N. Blackwell, age 73, died May 22, 2015. Mr. Blackwell was a native of Nashville, Tennessee although his youth was spent in Sheffield, Alabama. He and his family moved to Tennessee in 1967 and made the Mt. Juliet area home for the past 43 years. He was retired from the TVA Nashville Engineering Unit with 38 years of service. Mr. Blackwell was the son of the late Jack Martin and Mildred Elizabeth Newport Blackwell. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Christine Blackwell.
He is survived by wife of almost 53 years, Becky Atwell Blackwell; son, Chance (Rachel) Blackwell; sister, Elaine B. (Edwin) Holcombe; and grandchild, Lillian Christine Blackwell.
Funeral services were conducted noon Monday at Bond Memorial Chapel. Graveside services followed at 4 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Hatch Boulevard in Sheffield, Alabama.
