Harry Gerard Woodward Jr., 86, of Decatur died Sunday, June 16, 2013.
Mr. Woodward was a retired Navy veteran of World War IIand Korea, retired Army master sergeant with many decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal. He was also a retired school teacher with the El Paso Independent School District, teaching music mostly at Alta Vista Elementary School.
He is survived by his wife of 63-plus years, Dorothy; daughters, Susan Kerner, Judith Laskowski and Patricia Miller; sons, Robert, Kenneth, John, Timothy and Michael; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation is at Roselawn Funeral Home, Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Ann Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
