Harriett Wildman, 80, died Friday, November 24, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Walls on February 1, 1943, to James Thomas and Ocie Gatewood Thomas. On August 3, 1962, she married Billy Wayne Wildman. A talented seamstress, Harriett dedicated her career to Reed’s Manufacturing for over 40 years before her retirement. Harriett enjoyed reading, yard work especially gardening, and canning vegetables. She treasured spending time with family and always enjoyed the fond memories of their time at Nettleton Hunting Club.
Harriett is survived by her husband, Billy Wildman; two children, Jerry Wildman (Angie), of Saltillo, and Dianne Wildman (Cathy) of Shannon; three grandchildren, Brad Wildman, Jerry Wildman Jr., and Brandy Wildman; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Benjamin (Brooks), and brother, James Thomas Jr.; and special family friend, Missy Wilemon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Billie Jo Wildman; grandson, Corey Matthew Wilemon; and sisters, Clara Gross, and Frances Mays.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Matt Powell officiating. Graveside services will follow in Grays Cemetery.
