Harold Robert Beckwith, 94, of Florence, passed away July 27, 2017. A graveside service was held Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Greenview Memorial Park with military honors accorded by Tuscumbia American Legion Post #31.
Mr. Beckwith was preceded in death by his parents, William and Willie Mae Chapin Beckwith; a brother, Bill Beckwith; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Hovater; and many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his sister, Laura Sue Lewis; and his caring niece and nephews.
Mr. Beckwith was a veteran in the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly in WWII and The Korean War for 12 years before coming home to Florence. He was honored with many awards and medals for his bravery. He was also manager of Magnolia Gardens in Florence for 25 years.
