Harold Ray Russell, 85, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born February 20, 1938, to the late Hollis Gordon Russell and the late Ova Jamerson Russell in the Ryans Well community. He was a Deacon at Fairview Baptist Church and former Sunday School teacher. Harold enjoyed gardening, watching New York Yankees baseball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm on Tuesday October 24, 2023, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Gene O’Brian and Bro. Kenny Childers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 pm – 2 pm on Tuesday, October 24, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Russell of Fulton, son, Sandy (Cindy) Russell of Golden, daughters, Dedra (Brad) Thomas of Fulton, and Lisa Quinn of Corinth, grandchildren, Brittany Nicole (Eric) Faris of Golden, Jonathan (Lakin) Russell of Dennis, Isabella (Brandon Hill) Russell of Golden, Bridger (Macy Kate Petrieski) Thomas of Scottsboro, AL, Cory (Meredith) Quinn of Corinth, and Kelsey (Adam) Wren of Corinth, great grandchildren, Barrett Quinn, and Raelynn Russell, and a host of special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Ova Russell, sister, Gola Lewis, brother, Prentiss Russell, and grandson, Harrison Reid Thomas.
Pallbearers Bridger Thomas, Jonathan Russell, Cory Quinn, Adam Wren, Eric Faris, and Brandon Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Childers, Kenny Childers, and I. T. Williams.
