Harold Lowery, 63, of Ashville, AL passed away December 18, 2020. He was born March 9, 1957 to Joseph and Flossie Lowery. He was employed as a mechanic all of his life. Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was devoted to all of his family. He loved gardening and tending to his cattle. He loved sharing the fruits of his labor with his family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral Home. He is preceded in death by his son, Darrell Lowery, his parents, Joseph and Flossie Lowery, siblings, Mary Williams, Jody Lowery, Betty Faye Lowery and Flora Mae Lowery. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Gail Lowery, his daughter, Krystal (Jason) McWhorter; son, Tyler (Sarah) Lowery; grand-children, Austin Padula, Anthony Padula, Garrett McWhorter, Adrien (“Dipstick”) Gray and Emma Lowery; chosen grandchildren, Isabella and Addison Reynolds; siblings, Nancy (Johnny) Bolton, Joann Moore, Margaret Simmons, Tommy Lowery, Tina (Michael) Dorsett, brother-in-law, Trace Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be Stewart Davis, Michael Dorsett, Landon Farley, Jason McWhorter, Jimmy Thompson and Burt Yarbrough. Honorary Pallbearers are Misty Holcomb, N.P., Dr. John Padula, and the nurses of Kindred Hospice. There will be a memorial service at Gum Springs Baptist Church on December 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Chris Cornutt officiating. Family will accept friends at 12:00 p.m. until the beginning of the memorial service. There will be a private graveside service following the memorial at Gum Springs Baptist Church. Family requests that everyone wear a mask and socially distance.
