Graveside service and interment for Harold Kirby, 77, will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Hartselle City Cemetery with Pastor Brent Gailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Kirby died on Monday, April 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1935, in Lawrence County to Willie McKinley Kirby and Edna Velma (Dunn) Kirby. Mr. Kirby was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Harold was a very caring person and helped everyone that he could during his lifetime and went to join his loving wife of 49 years in Heaven. Mr. Kirby was retired from Decatur Utilities Gas Department as a Foreman. He was preceded in death by his wife: JoAnn Dumas Kirby, his parents, five brothers, two sisters, and one great grandchild: Jake Wayne Kenney.

Pallbearers will be Freeman Kirby, Glenn Kirby, Stanley Allen, Jonathan Clark, Raymond Dumas, and Jackie Truett.
