Harold Jean Gary
“Snake Doctor”-Age 79 of Lascassas, TN passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was born September 13, 1942 in Rabbit Ridge, KY to Harrison Thomas & Anna Louise Phillips Gary. He worked as a truck driver for Worthing Industries until his retirement and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, carpentry work, but most of all he enjoyed driving his truck. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana Hale Gary; brother, John; sister, Sue; brother-in-law, Jimmy Pirtle; sister-in-law, Lois Gary. He is survived by his sons, Chad (Lisa) Gary, White House, TN and Harold (Tammy) Gary, Jr., Smyrna, TN; daughter, Dana (Max) Epstein, Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Charles Gary and Ray Gary, both of Henderson, KY; sister, Helen Pirtle, Henderson, KY; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 3pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Nashville National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is planned for Saturday, April 23, 2022 1pm-3pm at the funeral home.
