Harold Gene Gobbell, 81 of Lawrenceburg, TN died on March 12, 2020. He was born January 19, 1939, in Lawrence County, TN. Harold graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1957 and began work at the Murray Ohio Company the same year. He retired from Murray Ohio in 1999 as the Director of Quality. He loved to sing gospel music, raising cattle, playing golf, fishing, and he loved his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Olie Gobbell and Exa Grace Clayton Gobbell; and one brother, Wayne Gobbell.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lila Glynn McGee Gobbell; one daughter, Lisa Gobbell Talbert (John Chatelain); one son, Lane Gobbell (Donna); two grandsons, Wade Gobbell (Laura) and Jack Gobbell (Madison); as well as two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Brenda Oliver (Jim) and one sister-in-law, Betty Gobbell.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2020, with Ricky Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
