Harold Edward Woody, 83 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on August 3rd, 2024, in his residence. He was born on September 27th, 1940, to parents Charles Woody and Genell McCleanan.
Harold is survived by his wife Debbie Woody; his children Lana Woody and Darryl Woody; his grandchildren Alan Satterlee, Mya Satterlee, JoAnn Purdy, Sahri Woody, Jackson Woody, and Caroline Woody; his brother Tim Woody; and sister Dinah Carver.
Mr. Woody is preceded in death by his parents; his son Eddie Woody; and his daughter Suzy Purdy.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 8th, 2024, in Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 3:00pm.
Mr. Woody was an outdoorsman who lived in Alaska where he enjoyed hunting moose, bears, deer and anything that was caught moving in the woods. He was also passionate about fishing and raising gun dogs.
