Harold Edward Katen, age 94 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Elk River Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Hemingford, Nebraska on September 27, 1925 to the late Clyde and Teresa (McCabe) Katen. In his younger years, he was a devoted Catholic and sang in the Irish Catholic Choir. Harold was a devoted Nebraska football and Arizona basketball fan. Before his retirement, Harold was employed as a welder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Clyde Edward Katen and Daniel Paul Katen; and three brothers. Harold is survived by his loving children, Anna (David) Provancha of Alabama, Rose McDonald of Texas, William Katen of St. Louis, and Stephen Katen of Arizona; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
