HaroldA Celebration of Life for Mr. Harold Edward “Bubba” Crayton will be Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Bridge Builders Church International with Pastor Darius Crayton officiating and inhumation to follow in Decatur City Cemetery-Sterrs Addition. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service with professional service entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home.
Harold E. Crayton, son of the late Irene Johnson and David Crayton, entered this world on October 6, 1937, in Decatur. He departed this life on May 13, 2013, in Huntsville. His maternal great- grandmother, Janet Floyd, reared him in the love of God and impressed upon him to share that love with others.

His formative years taught him the meaning of love and caring for others. His early educational training at Cherry Street Elementary and Lakeside High Schools prepared him for life at Alabama A&M and beyond.

His career path as a brick mason afforded him a comfortable and meaningful lifestyle that would impact the lives of many. He gave his life to God at an early age and was a dedicated and committed member of King’s Memorial United Methodist Church until he joined Bridge Builders Church International in May of 2002.

In addition to his parents and great- grandmother, his great- aunt, Janet Floyd Tabscott, and granddaughter, Dalesia Inette Crayton, also preceded him in death.

His survivors include his wife, Jeanette Della Stewart Crayton, his son and daughter-in-law, Darius and Alesia Crayton, all of Decatur; four grandchildren, Darius Antoine, Andrea Linzie, Valesia Denise and David Jedidiah Crayton; one brother, Leon (Joan) Crayton of Hillsboro; three sisters-in-law, Margret Stewart of Decatur, Gracie Stewart of Rockledge, Florida, and Bernice (Dwight) Allen of Louisville, Kentucky; three nephews, Maurice, Audley and Randy Crayton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
