Harold Dwight “Beaver” Chamness – Obituary

Funeral service for Harold Dwight “Beaver” Chamness, 62, of Moulton will be Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Williams and the Rev. Waymon Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Chamness, who died Monday, October 7, 2013, at his residence, was born July 27, 1951, in Lawrence County to the late Sanders Chamness and Nona Mae Dover Chamness. He was a retired stack operator for Grayson Lumber Company and attended My Father’s House Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Rachel Brown Chamness; two sons, Jonathan Nix (Missy) and Harold Ray Chamness (Jill), both of Moulton; two daughters, Sherry Chamness Freeman (Jerald) of Decatur and Misty Dawn Chamness of Haleyville; one sister, Faye Demasters of Decatur; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Thornton, Johnny Nix, Josh Morgan, Kenneth Peters, Josh Jetton and Derick Beene.
