Funeral service for Harold “Dexter” Murphree, 68, of Cullman will be at 2 P.M., Saturday, July 4th, 2015 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Michael Parker and Corey Drummond officiating with interment in Missionary Grove Baptist Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Murphree passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 29, 1947 to parents, Harold Newman & Audie Faye Shaw Murphree. Dexter was well known in the community and was a partner for 31 years in The Community Shopper’s Guide. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Nikolas & Nevin West.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Angela Guthrie Murphree; three daughters, Dawnita Moore, Detrina (Johnny) Campbell, DeeAnna (Phillip) Key; a brother, Anthony Murphree; three sisters, Deborah (James) Earl, Paula (Leon) Smith, Daphne Stone; eight grandchildren, Eli West, Chet (Anna Lee) West, Nolan (Ashleigh) West, Ty Campbell, Trey Campbell, Trent Campbell, Alex Key, Hannah Key; and a host of family and friends
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
