Harold Dean Pendley, 70 of Winfield, Alabama, formerly of Fayette County, Alabama died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his residence..

Mr. Pendley was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Winfield, he served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector of the church. He attended high school in Oakman, Alabama, and earned his GED while serving in the United States Navy. After serving two tours in Vietnam and his discharge from the Navy, Harold went to work for Loomis Armored Car and began his police career at Oceanside Police Department. He enlisted into the Army National Guard and retired as Sergeant (E5) in June of 2009. Mr. Pendley worked for 38 years in law enforcement, serving Fayette County, Alabama as Chief Deputy, the City of Brilliant, Alabama as Chief of Police, and Marion County, Alabama as Lieutenant and Jail Administrator.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield, Alabama.

Funeral Service: Friday, June 5, 2020 from the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Winfield, Alabama.

Burial: Gibson Hill Cemetery in Walker County, Alabama.

Officiating: Father Anthony Weis.
