Harold Dean Cleveland, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at The Courtyards, Fulton, MS. He was born in Itawamba County, MS to Andrew Cleveland and Inez Bates Cleveland. He was a loving husband and a great father. He was a long time truck driver and also worked for Itawamba County. Harold never met a stranger and was a friend to all who knew him. He loved westerns, bluegrass music and camping, especially with the grandkids. He loved his ATV and golf cart. In his younger days he was an avid fox, raccoon and rabbit hunter, but most of all he was a family man.

Services will be Saturday, August 3, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. James Herman Gray and Haskell Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Golden, MS.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Beckie Ann Cleveland; sons, Scotty Cleveland (Kim) and Mark Cleveland (Marcy); nine grandchildren, Hayli Carter (Jason), Dexter Cleveland, Caleb Cleveland, Anna Greene (Brayden), Savanna Cleveland, Sarah Kilgore, Will Cleveland (Savannah), Olivia Cantrell and Wendy Thomas; five great-grandchildren; brother, Marshal McMinn and his best buddy, his dog, Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vergie Mae Castleberry, Marie Greenwood, Cedella Lindsey, Vader Newborn, Forest Miller, Dera Tallent, Geneva Thomas and Bittie Griffin and brothers, Gayer Cleveland, Haron Cleveland and Nathan Cleveland.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Cleveland, Dexter Cleveland, Brayden Greene, Jason Carter, Terry Bates, Toby Bates and Todd Bates.

Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
