Harold Burton, age 69, of Jasper, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2023.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 12, 1954 to James and Vivian Burton. He graduated from Walker High School in 1972. Shortly after he enlisted in the Army Reserves. He worked at Reliable Air Conditioning. He served in the music ministry for forty years, a member of Living Light Church and was an avid Alabama fan.
He was proceeded in death by his parents James and Vivian Burton, brothers Bill Burton and Larry Burton and best friend George Pyron.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jeanette Burton, son Jabo Burton (Andrea), Amanda Sherer (Ray), Brooke Smolik (Dan) and Ara Burton (Brandon). His grandchildren Abby Dodson (Trent), Peyton Willcutt, Blake Boyet (Holden), Dawson Willcutt, Dylan Willcutt, Cruz Burton, AJ Kell and Macy Smolik and special dog Doc Holiday.
Pall Bearers: Ryan Smith, Blake Parker, Ray Sherer, Dan Smolik, Cruz Burton, Dawson Willcutt, Dylan Willcutt and AJ Kell.
Visitation will be at Living Light Church in Jasper, Alabama from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday October 10, 2023 with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Joey Vick, Pastor Ryan Smith and Pastor Billy Driver. Bell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
