Harlie Lee McCalpin, 91, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at Burns Nursing Home, Russellville, AL. He was born in Franklin County to Jim McCalpin and Lena Humphries McCalpin. He was retired from Reynolds Metals and served in the U.S. Army.
Services will be Saturday, December 28, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Dallas Culver officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, December 28, 11-1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette McCalpin and Lorene Harris; one brother-in-law, James Hamilton and two step-daughters, Tina McKelvy and Teresa Lemay.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Jean McCalpin and Louise McCalpin, his parents and seven siblings.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Adam Seahorn, Carsten Hollander, Canaan Hollander, Grayson Mann, Eric Mann and Evan Mann. Honorary pallbearers will be remaining nephews.
