Harley Houston Brewer Harley Houston Brewer, age 72, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 15, 1951, in Decatur, AL, to Charles Houston Brewer and Frances Elizabeth Brewer. Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen Lynn Eaves- Brewer; children Lisa Ann Brewer-Stovall (Brian Stovall) and Jeremy Houston Brewer (Kallie Brewer); grandchildren Rayne Elizabeth Brewer and River Houston Brewer; sister Hillary (Bill) Kennemer; and brother Charlie (Rhonda) Brewer.

Mr. Brewer is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances Brewer; and his brother Allen Brewer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The graveside service for Mr. Brewer will be Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at the Roselawn Cemetery, with Andy John King officiating. Pallbearers will be David Brewer, Bobby Brewer, Jordan Brewer, Glenn Sharp, Randy Brewer, Tommy Moore, Charles Privett, and Joe Sharp. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Harley Brewer attended Mooresville/Belle Mina and East Limestone Schools. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on February 27, 1969. He also served in Vietnam and Germany. He worked as a concrete supervisor at Bellefonte Nuclear Plant for ten years before starting his own company, Brewer Construction, in 1985, where he built beautiful custom homes until he retired.

Harley enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, and going to car shows.
