Harland Tucker Howell

Harland Tucker Howell, age 95, Haleyville, AL. passed away Thursday November 4, 2021. He served in the United States Navy during WWII, member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ, a retired locomotive engineer with Illinois Central Railroad and was a Mason and Shriner.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday November 7, 2021 at 2:00PM in Winston Memorial Cemetery. Speaking at the service will be Harlan Knight, Rob Howell and David Howell.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Neal Curtis Howell; children, Richard Harlan Howell, his wife Juanell and Melinda Lou Howell Gentle, her husband Ronald; sister, Julia Rose Burleson; brother, James David Howell; grandchildren, Robert Tyler Howell, Megan S. Howell Love, her husband Matt, Margaret Rose Gentle, Tucker Thomas Gentle, his wife Melissa and Luke Wayne Gentle; great grandchildren. Maddox and Myers Love; a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wright Howell, Sr. and Rosa Bell Yarbrough Howell; brothers, John Wright Howell, Jr., Charles Lindsey Howell, Ewing Wood Howell and Bryan Kent Howell.
