September 2, 2024 – Coon Dog Cemetery Labor Day Celebration, Experience a one-of-a-kind festival at the
historic Coon Dog Cemetery, 4945 County Road 21, Cherokee, AL. The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. and run
until 3 p.m., featuring live music from Jason Baldwin and Bailey Train, mouth-watering barbecue from L.O.

September 2, 2024 – 105th Annual Labor Day Celebration at Spring Park, Join us at Spring Park, 1 Spring

Harding and Muriel Harding. This exhibit runs from September 7 through September 26 and features over thirty
years of their artistic journey, showcasing bronze sculpture, mixed-media sculpture, drawing, painting, and

storytelling, dancing, music, art, crafts, and a torch-lighting ceremony. Over a dozen American Indian tribes

Shoals National Heritage Area (MSNHA), an AHA grantee, has unveiled a new traveling exhibit titled "The
Memphis & Charleston Railroad Bridge: Connecting the Shoals." This exhibit explores the historic significance
of the Old Railroad Bridge, a vital link between Sheffield and Florence. Scholar Clayton Davis, MSNHA historic
preservationist and primary author of the National Register of Historic Places nomination for the bridge, will
present a thought-provoking discussion on the topic. The exhibit will be on display at the Helen Keller Public
