Hallie was a beautiful person, devoted to her friends and family. She was a lifetime member of Decatur

generous, and witty spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Through the years, Hallie touched the lives of so many people. She and her first husband, Robert,
opened the Dairy Queen in Hartselle, Alabama in 1960. Over the 40 years of Hartselle business
ownership, Hallie and Robert were generous contributors to the Hartselle community. They provided
support to non-profits, civic groups, and many youth organizations. They were also supportive and
involved in the lives of many young people who worked for them.
In 1999 Hallie had the joy of meeting and marrying her kind, second husband, Eugene Alderson, who
was a fabulous cook and wonderful companion for seven years. One of her greatest joys was gaining his
loving daughters and their families who all adored her. She is also survived by the Aldersons: step-
