H.P. “Pinky” Horton Jr. 62, of Town Creek died Dec. 23rd. at ECM Hospital in Florence, AL. His funeral will be Friday, Dec. 27th. at 2:00 at Donald Baptist Church where he was a member and served as a deacon and he was also minister of music. He was a retired salesman. Bro. Scott Deleshaw and Bro. Henry Trull will be officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Ferguson Cemetery in Hatton. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Horace Horton Sr. and Amy (Berryman) Horton, 3 brothers; Johnnie, Vernon and Pelham Horton, 2 sisters; Janie Horton and Elouise (Leroy) Kiser.
He is survived by his wife; Reda Craig Horton, 1 daughter; Cyndi (Josh) Burke, 1 son; Joshua (Kelly) Horton, grandchildren; Acea (Cameron) Logston, Kanaan, Mica and Chantley Burke, Ty and Chloe Horton, 5 sisters; Jean (Jimmie) Randolph, Eiizabeth (Ted) Sutton, Linda (Bruce) Fortner, Kay (Cranford) Alexander, Melissa (John) Mayfield and 1 brother; Jerry (Donna) Horton.
