Graveside service for Gweneva Nell (Lanier) West, age 82, of Weatherford, TX will be 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Midway Memorial Gardens with Parkway Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to service. Her family hosted a visitation and service on Monday, June 24, 2024, at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Ms. West, who passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, in Weatherford, TX was born March 3, 1942, in Lawrence County, AL to Claude and Mildred (Morris) Lanier. She was preceded in death by her parents. She attended Lawrence County High School and went on to proudly and bravely serve her country as a lab technician in the United States Air Force.
She is survived by her two sisters, Martha Coffey and Connie Lanier; numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of extended family and lifelong friends.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
