Funeral service for Gwendolyn Segars, 87, will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Vest and Rev. Jack Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Segars died on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Lawrence Medical Center. She was born November 17, 1926, in Lawrence County to James Aron Templeton and Hazel Teague Templeton. She was formerly employed as a Cafeteria Worker for Danville Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband: T.G. Segars, her parents, and by two Grandchildren: Chuck Segars and Dana Segars.
In lieu of flowers: family requests that memorial donations be made to “Meals on Wheels” at 1909 Central Parkway, Decatur Alabama 35601.
