Gwendolyn “Darlene” Storie, age 66 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on February 4, 1957, to the late Hollis and Roselle (Moon) Storie. Darlene was formerly employed as a Receiving Manager at Lowe’s. An animal lover, she was passionate about her horses and dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Hollis Storie. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, David Sims of Winchester; children, Dena Tankersley of Winchester, Rickey (Christy) Couch of Decherd, Ethan (Emily) Sims of Winchester, and Dewayne Sims of Winchester; siblings, Darrell (Rhonda) Storie of Hillsboro, Dee Dee (Rick) Clark of Byrdstown, Devin (Donna) Storie of Murfreesboro, Michelle York of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Holly Gibbs of Murfreesboro; mother-in-law, Luevena Bernie Thomas of Winchester; sister-in-law, Sheila (Billy Ray) Isbell of Winchester; grandchildren, Austin Couch, Gerick Tankersley, Kaydin Tankersley, and Tracey (T.J.) Parsons; and great-grandchildren, Brantly Partin, Maverick Parsons, and Oliver Parsons; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
