Gwendolyn Blevins Dowdy, age 66, of Florence, passed away August 9, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, August 12, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home with service immediately following. Brother Henry Melton will be officiating, and the burial will be in Murphys Chapel.
Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Tim Hubbert and Betty Ruth Blevins; and sister, Pam Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Dowdy; brother, Gary Blevins; and sister, Kim Trousdale.
Even though Gwen battled health issues, her faith in the Lord never wavered. She was a very courageous, strong, loving, and caring lady.
