Guy Patrick Morrison, age 64, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Patrick fought hard against the illness he battled for 8 months, but he was surrounded by immense love and his family while at home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00am at Roselawn Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Morrison; children, Guy Daniel Morrison (Rose), Patty Hunter (Andy), Kathryn Thomas (Tim); four grandkids, Cole Mullin, Ava Hunter, Braxton Thomas and Pax Hunter; mother, Judith Morrison; brothers, Mike Morrison (Helen) of Pataskala, OH., Doug Morrison of Port Clinton, OH. and Chris Morrison (Norma) of Orlando, FL; sister Missy Queen of Washington Court House, OH; several nieces and nephews as well as his bonus children, Jeremy Kilgore, Amy Peacock and LaShane Fuller.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, James H. Morrison.
Patrick was born in Ohio on September 25, 1959, to James and Judith Morrison. He and Darlene were married on July 5, 1997, and spent a wonderful 27 years together. He spent 23 years working at Huntsville Design and Construction and his best work was his woodworking. Patrick loved automobiles as well.
Patrick had the greatest sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and was always ready to fire off a joke, so you had better been ready! Patrick had a big heart and loved his kids and spoiled his grandkids.
