“Chindo” Lucio, 92, of Corinth, MS formerly of Hemet, CA,
passed away March 25, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, Ms.
A memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses;

Gumescindo was born January 13, 1932, in Kosse, TX to Pablo Lucio and
Casimira Rios Lucio.
Mr. Lucio loved watching airplanes as a youngster and later joined the
Air Force to learn a trade, where he learned to be a Sheet Metal
Mechanic lasting 48 years. Working for various aircraft manufacturers
around the US and overseas. Lockheed Martin, Northrup, McDonnell
Douglas, and Boeing, many supported the war efforts. He was in Vietnam
for one year as a civilian.
In 1982, before, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he
learned that God does not approve of anyone taking the life of another
human being, everyone’s life is so precious to him. His work took him
to many different congregations, some he helped build. In 2006 he
began attending the Corinth, MS congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in
English and Spanish.
He enjoyed reading the Bible, playing the guitar, and singing.
Mr. Lucio is survived by his wife, Becky Lucio (12 years); sons, Larry
Lucio (Wendi) and Robert Lucio; Daughter, Debra Lenox; 20 grandchildren;
many great grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews; other
relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis Lucio and Gilbert Lucio;
Daughter, Marilu Van Diest; stepson, Sam Lopez; Father, Pablo Lucio;
Mother, Casimira Rios Lucio; brother, Dionicio Lucio; sister, Frances
Ramos; half-brother, Concepcion “Concho” Rios Lucio and half-sister,
Petra Sanchez.
