Greta Sue Suggs was born July 18, 1941 in the daughter of the late Jimmy Shannon and Ruth Lawson Shannon.
She was united in marriage to Maurice Suggs on December 28, 1957. She was a member of the Chewalla Baptist Church. She worked at various factories before working at ITT in Selmer from 1970-76 and later had a cleaning business for 25 years.
Sue could do anything she put her mind to. She was a hardworking lady that was always on the go. She enjoyed outdoors, mowing the yard, working in her flowers, cooking wonderful meals for her family and being “Mammaw” to her grandkids.
Mrs. Suggs departed this life on December 31, 2021 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 80 Years, 5 Months, 13 Days.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Maurice Suggs of Selmer, TN; two sons, David Suggs (Tara) of Horn Lake, MS, Greg Suggs (Vickie) of Olive Branch, MS; a sister, Sarah Locke of Oakland, TN; two brothers, Billy Shannon (Debbie) of Eastview, TN, Dale Shannon (Charlotte) of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren: Michael Suggs, B. J. Suggs, Katie Suggs, Ashlign Shoemaker; five great grandchildren: Sky Hughes-Arnold, Alexis Suggs, Remi Suggs, Cooper Pryor, Grace Feathers; two great great grandchildren, Bentley and Brody Arnold.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Suggs was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Suggs.
