Greta Elaine Richerson, 73, of Collierville, TN, passed away peacefully with her cousin, Nancy Campbell Cobill, by her side, in Walnut, MS on July 16, after a battle with kidney and lung cancer.
Greta was born on November 14, 1949, in Walnut, MS. She is survived by a brother, Donald Richerson, of Collierville, a special cousin, Nancy Campbell Cobill (Earl) of Walnut, cousins Stephen Cobill (Nancy) of Dumas, Robert Cobill (Carrie) of Trenton, FL and numerous other cousins.
Greta was preceded in death by twin brothers, Lonnie and Ronnie Richerson, her parents, James Rowe and Amye (Campbell) Richerson of Collierville, paternal grandparents, Alexander and Pearl Richerson of Middleton, TN and maternal grandparents, George and Ora Jane Campbell of Walnut.
Greta graduated from high school at Kingsbury High School in Memphis, TN. She was a devoted and hard worker at Kimberly Clark Corporation for twenty-six years and was order processor for other companies until her retirement. She loved sharing time with her extended family, visiting her cousins at her grandparent’s house in Walnut, listening to her favorite music and reading. Greta was a loving daughter and caregiver for her parents until their deaths.
Visitation for Ms. Richerson will be Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Ripley Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be conducted at Campbell Cemetery by Kenny James.
